Will DRIVLOC damage my machine or it's Motor(s) ?

DRIVLOC is most unlikely to cause damage to the Machine or It's Motor(s). Since DRIVLOC is FULLY ADJUSTABLE to the Load to be Braked. The Braking or Stopping force generated by the DRIVLOC approximates the Starting force of the Machine on Start Up.

Will I need to fit a new motor starter if I fit a DRIVLOC ?

It is NOT necessary to replace the existing Motor Starter or Control Gear, unless the existing equipment is faulty or unsafe. However, DRIVLOC units are available with integrated machine starters if the client prefers.

If the machine has several motors do I need to buy several DRIVLOC's ?

It is NOT always necessary to purchase several DRIVLOC's for several Motors, we offer a range of Multi-Motor Control Units.

Can DRIVLOC be fitted by any Electrician & do RDM offer an Installation service ?

DRIVLOC can be very easily Installed by any experienced Electrician since no mechanical modifications are required.

However, if clients prefer, RDM Engineering offers a full and experienced Electrical and Mechanical Installation, Repair and Commissioning service.

Roughly how much does DRIVLOC cost ?

DRIVLOC prices start at around £ 250.00 plus VAT for the 1.5Kw version. Larger units cost more, however, most cost well under £ 300.00 plus VAT.

Can DRIVLOC be Installed on Older Motors ?

DRIVLOC can be fitted to machines with old motors. In fact older Motors perform especially well and offer excellent stopping performance.

Can DRIVLOC be fitted only to Motors with Simple Direct on line Starters ?

Drivloc can be fitted onto Motors with Star Delta, Slip Ring, Soft Start and Frequency Change Control Gear. Special versions are available at a small additional cost.
